Backlinks should be natural, it means that a website should not use artificial methods to make backlinks for their own websites. The quality of the link is far more important than the quantity.
Example: Website A is a restaurant and it receives a backlink from Website B, a major food review blog or website. This is a valuable, natural and relevant backlink that website A has received.
Due to the importance of backlinks, many bad behaviors are done by the owners of the website to get backlinks. On the other hand, Samantha's article becomes popular and many other websites are linked to her article. There are many new backlinks on Samantha's website. Even though John has received only one backlink for his article, but the backlinks Samantha article has increased the value of his backlink.
The World Wide Web, or "Web" in a nutshell, is a network of web pages linked to each other through hyperlinks. Each hyperlink joining a new document adds to the overall development of the web. Search engines make it easy for you to find these web pages. A web page linked to many other web pages on similar topics is considered more respectable and valuable. In the above example, John's article received respect for sparking a conversation, resulting in many other web pages linked to each other. Therefore backlinks are important not only for a website but also for the overall health of the search engine and the entire world wide web.
There is also a widget called the incoming link in the WordPress Admin Dashboard. This widget displays links to websites from other websites, especially blogs. Google uses the blog search results to show this link. There are other free backlink checker tools available online, which can be used to see how many pages are linked from a particular page.
